Documentation:

In order to assure appropriate academic standards and learning environment within the distance learning infrastructure the University requires the following information:

·  Details of the logistical and administrative arrangements to ensure effective co­ordination of the Program specific to teaching and supporting students at a distance.

·  Details of the proposed learning materials and delivery mechanisms.

·  An outline of the roles and responsibilities of the different parties involved if delivered in collaboration with a partner institution (inc. details of reporting arrangements).

·  Details of the responsibilities and financial agreements between the University and the relevant academic Department, if applicable.

·  Details of the periodic review arrangements for distance learning materials and the Program/unit as a whole.

·  Quality assurance procedures including information on student support mechanisms, communication methods, student feedback, assessment arrangements, student access to tutors, arrangements for External Examiners, monitoring of student progression.

 

If delivered in collaboration with a partner institution, additional information will also be provided:

·  Copy of the inter Institutional Agreement.  

·  The scope and limitations of the arrangements.

·  The role and responsibilities of all parties.

·  The learning resources and support facilities available.

·  CVs of staff with teaching responsibilities.

·  Details of the results of independent checks of any local law relating to the provision of higher education.

·  Details of the health and safety policies and procedures.
